Elnah Jordan

Vocalist Elnah Jordan, a well-seasoned performer specializing in jazz, gospel and blues, commenced her career in the streets of San Francisco and was awarded 1983 Jazz Vocalist of the Year! She performed the role of the legendary Bessie Smith for 2-1/2 years in “The Evolution of the Blues” written and produced by Jon Hendricks of the scat team of Lambert, Hendricks and Ross. Later, she starred in “Street Dreams”, an Off Broadway musical drama which afforded the prestigious Cabaret Gold awards for her performance. Elnah has had the honor to open for Gil Scott Heron and Bobby Blue Bland in the San Francisco Club forum. Elnah moved to the Seattle area in the early 90s, which landed well for re-introduction of her roots in gospel music, the very essence of her inspiration!

The band has two albums under its belt, their 2009 release McTuff Vol. 1 and their 2011 follow-up McTuff Vol. 2: After the Show, with a third slated for release in Spring 2015. McTuff has performed at Bumbershoot, the New Orleans Jazz Fest, as well as festivals and venues all over the US. The band has also held a residency at Seattle’s legendary Seamonster Lounge for over five years. Their Tuesday night show has become regular stop for local and traveling musicians including Skerik, Allen Stone, Jeff Coffin (Dave Matthews Band), G Love (and Special Sauce), Blake Lewis, Kevin Sawka, and many others.
