Summer Shakespeare Camp

Performing A Midsummer Night’s Dream

WHAT: Participants will work together to produce a live rendition of William Shakespeare’s A Midsummer Night’s Dream. Campers will hone their acting, public speaking, and production skills as they grow together as a team. No acting experience is required, only enthusiasm!

COST: $250 for the 2 weeks of camp and includes complimentary performance attendance.

WHO: For ages 11-15 years old 15 spots available Participants must show proof of vaccination in order to participate.

Note: We reserve the right to cancel the camp if fewer than 6 participants.

WHEN: Monday-Friday 8am-12pm, with a final dress rehearsal on Sat. July 30th 10am-12pm and a Live Performance on Saturday, July 30th, 6pm -8pm. (Actors arrive at 6pm, Performance starts at 7pm)

 Lucy Adams has participated in two VCS productions (A Midsummer Night’s Dream, 2019, and A Christmas Carol, 2019) and stage managed one (The Mousetrap, 2021).

In Newport, Virginia she started and led the Summer Shakespeare Camp program with LoCo Arts, directing three plays with students aged 10-15 (A Midsummer Night’s Dream, 2014, Macbeth, 2015, and the Comedy of Errors, 2016).

During the school year, Lucy is a fifth grade teacher in the Bellevue School District.
