Mrs. Bob Cratchit’s Wild Christmas Binge Written by Christopher Durang Directed by April Davis Performance: Dec. 11, 2022 Synopsis: A parody of ‘A Christmas Carol’, that asks “What if Dickens’ Mrs. Cratchit wasn’t so goody-goody, but instead was an angry, stressed-out modern-day American woman who wanted out of this harsh London 1840s life?”
Why Christmas Pageants Suck / Sons of a Common Mother Written by Sean Walbeck Directed by Robin Walbeck-Forrest Performance: Dec. 23, 2022 Synopsis: Two short award-winning plays about how military service affects families fundamentally, written by Bellingham playwright Sean Walbeck.
Vagina Monologues Written by Eve Ensler Directed by Shawn Fuller Performance: Feb. 25, 2022 Synopsis: Lovely, moving, and funny monologues about women and their vaginas.
Compleat Female Stage Beauty Written by Jeffrey Hatcher Directed by René Schuchter Performance: Mar. 11, 2022 Synopsis: Perceived roles and identities in 17th century England are in turmoil when King Charles II of England grants women legal permission to act on public stages and play female roles which until that time had been played by men and young boys, including the most famous portrayer of female roles, Edward Kynaston, who experiences loss of his cachet, livelihood, lover and sense of self.
The Underpants Written by Carl Sternheim and Steve Martin Directed by Natalie Bryant Performance: Apr. 8, 2023 Synopsis: A woman’s underpants drop to her ankles in the middle of the day, on a crowded street. A comedy that answers the question…who noticed?
Dead Man’s Cell Phone Written by Sarah Ruhl Directed by Robin Walbeck-Forrest Performance: May 27, 2022 Synopsis: An incessantly ringing cell phone in a quiet cafe; a stranger at the next table who has had enough; and a dead man–with a lot of loose ends. An imaginative, oddball comedy!

Rehearsal Dates Most staged readings have 4-5 rehearsals and 1-3 performances. Rehearsal schedules to be determined by each director, based on cast availability. However, the following dates are reserved for each show:

Rehearsal Location Valley Center Stage @ the Sallal Grange, 1060 Stilson Ave SE, North Bend. The building is on the southern corner of the intersection of SE North Bend Way and SE Mt Si Road.
Performance Dates All performances will take place at 7:30pm, at Valley Center Stage. Call times at 6:30pm.
