The camp is designed for all levels of experience; teaching skills such as vocal projection and diction, stage movement, stage combat, emotional awareness, improvisation and group cooperation. In addition to theatre skills, your child will also learn important life skills such as critical thinking, creativity and teamwork. The course of the two weeks we will write our own skits to perform for family and friends on the last day of camp. Children with advanced stage experience will have the opportunity to work on advanced scenes or monologues.
Youth will learn advanced acting, scene study, movement and voice through Shakespeare’s delightful characters. Participants will have the opportunity to perform several adapted, shortened versions of Shakespeare’s plays as well as a monologue of their choice.
